About

The Goodness of You Project is a community based therapeutic arts project. Our mission is to support the development of resilient, mentally healthy young people in the South West.

Established and facilitated by Sophie, it includes workshops and group programs that use creative and expressive activities for therapeutic purposes. Sessions are fun, engaging, and designed to foster the development of self-esteem, self-worth, identity, emotional regulation, and coping skills.

At its heart, The Goodness of You Project is about helping young people know their individual value and the unique goodness that they can and want to bring to the world.

Sessions do NOT require artistic skill and are NOT about building art skills.

Events

Sophie is currently on extended maternity leave, and is looking forward to getting back to offering programs as soon as family life allows. Scroll down to see an example of offerings from earlier in 2023 that give a taste for what is to come.

If you would like updates on future events, please click here to be added to the mailing list.

There is flexibility to tailor programs to community needs and interests (e.g. age group, location, themes explored, art medium). Sophie welcomes community input and collaboration, so please get in touch to discuss any needs that arise.

Term 1 2023 Group Sessions

Sessions are designed in a way for young people to feel safe and comfortable, with the amount someone shares in the group being voluntary. There are NO art skills required, just a willingness to explore arts-based materials around the themes of the session, with support and guidance available.

Each session has a theme and intention, although overall aims of sessions are to help teens feel stronger in themselves, manage emotions, learn more about themselves, and connect with peers in a supportive and caring environment.
